Kirsten Glasbrook - Tapestry weaving workshop

Kirsten is a world-class practitioner of tapestry weaving. Her tapestries produce strong contemporary and thought-provoking images, often with mythological, mystical and meditative themes. Her designs are also celebrated for their brilliant colour ranges, diversity of texture and masterful technique.

For the festival, Kirsten is offering a workshop for beginners and the more advanced which completes a project by the end of the day. Beginners - a small sampler? Experienced weavers - a project in mind?

She will also demonstrate basic techniques

Frames and a range of yarns are provided. Please bring a pair of scissors with you. Kirsten will bring examples for inspiration.
