The 48 hour film challenge for Young Film Makers!

Teams of 2-3 people aged between 14 and 25 from Bradford on Avon and the surrounding area, are asked to submit a script for a 2-minute film (roughly 2 sides of an A4 word document).

The film will be shot in one day on location at the Bradford on Avon Arts Festival on Sunday 19 September, edited within 24 hours and screened on Saturday 25 September at the West Barn.

The theme is Lost and Found and must be set against the backdrop of the Arts Festival. The rest is up to you. Perhaps a comedy, suspense / thriller - it can even have a bit of action. No blowing up the high street though!

Working with West Country based film partnership Dotcommercials, Director of Photography Gary Young and Producer William Sansom will be working with Pavel Douglas’s street theatre ensemble to storyboard the selected script and produce the winning film. The winning team will also get the opportunity to direct the shoot on the day.

The winning entry will be chosen by a judging panel - members of the Bradford on Avon arts festival including producer Simon Relphs (whose many credits include Enchanted April, Hideous Kinky, Land Girls, Reds, Sunday Bloody Sunday).

The runners up will be invited to film behind the scenes on the day of the shoot and produce a short documentary covering the day’s events as they unfold.

Before you send in your script, make sure that the names and ages of all the team members and the name and contact number of a parent or guardian are clearly listed at the top.

Send your competition entries to c/o Ritka Carr, Abbey House, Church Street, BA15 1LN by 5pm on Friday 10 September
