Opening Night of Sculpture Garden

The candlelit opening party of the Festival, Saturday 6 July, gives you the opportunity to spend a summer evening wandering amongst the art works and to share a glass of wine with artists to a backdrop of live music.
If the art isn't enough of a feast for the eyes, this Lynchetts' garden has the most magnificient panoramic views across Bradford on Avon to Wiltshire's rolling countryside beyond.

West Barn, Pound Lane
Bradford Barnstorm, has been set up to explore the future creative use of Bradford on Avon’s amazing historic Tithe Barn: a wonderful and tantalising local resource.
The first project to take place will be on 12th and 13th July 2013, when Barnstorm stages Benjamin Britten’s Noye’s Fludde (Noah’s Flood) along with the world premiere of Ona’s Flood, by composer Harvey Brough, specially commissioned for the project.
Involving more than 300 local young people plus a community choir of over 100, this project will offer music participation opportunities to many and a unique, spectacularaudience experience to the growing population of the town.
Photography Walks and competitions
The Hub, Lamb Yard
Photo walks, using your mobile phone for taking pictures, a mobile studio, a competition and more will be organised by the BoAPG.
Their photos will also be exhibited throughout the festival at Sebastiens in Bridge Yard.
Jarveys's Jazz and Cream Tea by the River
On the lawns at Kingston Place (through the gates adjacent to Holy Trinity Church, pedestrians only)

Boat Decorating Contest
Kennet and Avon Canal
Boaters have been invited to decorate, sculpt or transform their boats in any creative way they wish and win significant cash prizes.
Boats will be moored between the Tithe Barn and the Bridge. The public are invited to walk along the towpath between 11.00 and 5.00 and vote for their favourite. Prize-giving 5p.m.
The Bristol Shantymen will arrive in Bradford on a narrow boat to entertain with the best of sea shantys.
They will also be performing in front of the Tithe Barn and on the Pack Horse Bridge from 2:00 -5:00 p.m.

Melissa Wishart Exhibition
Melissa Wishart will be launching her inaugural series of limited edition artist prints of Bradford on Avon and surrounding areas. The exhibition will also feature recent original oil paintings.
James Froud Band
The Swan Hotel
The Bradford on Avon Folk Club present James Froud Band in the Swan Hotel Cellar Bar. The band play original material written by James Froud, a Bristol based singer/songwriter with a unique blend of storytelling and social comment in his lyrics.
Con Brio Mixed Voice Choir Open Evening

Come along and witness the town's mixed voice choir in action! If you've ever thought of joining a choir, now is the time to a go or just come and listen. Refreshments provided.
Blues Jam Night
All musicians and performers as well as those who just want to listen are welcome to this blues jam session.
A special showing of Pirates - A Band of Misfits (PG)
Shiver me timbers! This special showing will be at a secret location, and it's FREE of charge to PIRATES, yes free of charge!
Be at the Pack Horse Bridge at 6 bells (3 p.m.) to discover the location. Children dressed as pirates (free); Landlubbers (not dressed as pirates): GBP 3. Refreshments will be available.

Clean British Energy
Fat Fowl, Silver Street
An exhibition is entitled 'Clean British Energy' and consisting of 12 inspiring photographs that were the winners in a photographic competition organised by Friends of the Earth.
The photographs can be seen in the upstairs room at the Fat Fowl during the Arts Festival and the exhibition has been organised by Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon.
In addition to our own events, the Bradford on Avon Rowing Club will be independently offering many water related activities on the river. For more information check out their website.
